Arcane Events

This abstract video projection is a journey through time and a representation of the brands’ ethos and a recognition of the past. The video was live synched to the audio, intensifying the audiovisual relationship to heighten the experience of the night. 

Briefed by the national events company Arcane to provide a visual performance to deliver key messages to their audience, intensify the experience of the night, promote their artists and challenge the conventions of a traditional drum and bass event. 

A base of research of cultural trends within youth culture and the historical influence of the acid rave scene was used to develop the identity of the event. A title sequence was animated using Cinema 4D to be a central revolving emblem of the night conveying themes of retro video game and motion graphic aesthetics.
